Avenue Public School Welcome to McNaughton and the home of the Eagles! It's a new school year and we are excited to be back at school! We are happy to see all the returning students and welcome new students and teachers to McNaughton! Check your newsletter for important information! McNaughton Ave. is a dual track school offering an English programme to students in Junior Kindergarten to grade eight, and a French Immersion programme to students in Junior Kindergarten to grade six. We have a staff of 43 and serve over 650 students from rural and urban neighbourhoods. McNaughton Ave. has a very active School Council and Home & School Association. Both groups meet on a regular basis and are open to the public. Our Student Council provides many activities to promote school spirit and to contribute to the well being of the school community. It is our belief that a school is only successful when the parents, staff, and students work together for the same goal. Trust, respect, openness and communication are essential. If there is a problem, the teacher should be contacted first in an attempt to resolve the issue. If it cannot be resolved, either of us should be contacted. A monthly newsletter is sent home to each family to keep you informed. We appreciate your feedback and want you to become involved in events at the school. Together, we shall strive to provide the best education possible for the students.
