Welcome and thank you for visiting the McNaughton Avenue Public School Website.  My Name is Mrs. Deb Ellacott and I am the current Principal of this amazing school.  We are a dual track school with English program for grades JK to eight and French program for grades JK to six.  We are the largest elementary school in the Lambton Kent District School Board with a population of approximately 640 students. 

We have worked diligently over the past few years to introduce new ideas and best practices in our classrooms with a focus on literacy learning.  This school year we have been focused on inquiry based learning in mathematics.  Our staff and students work together  to ensure that McNaughton is a progressive and positive learning environment. 

We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities and we are very active in a number of community initiatives that support our students in learning how to be good global citizens.  We emphasize the importance of good citizenship and promote positive attitudes and inclusiveness through a focus on character traits that reflect these values.
